Before applying, If you choose to apply, we recommend that you compose and edit your responses to the questions in a text editing application (such as Word or Google Docs) and then paste your responses into the online submission system. Please be aware that you will need to purchase a ticket to Engulf. For 2023 everyone is expected to purchase a ticket.
The theme for Engulf this year is “Cyborg Circus Tea Party”. Your art piece does not need to address this theme but if it does please state so below.
Your art piece will be expected to be completed and installed by midnight of the first day of Engulf.
This year art grant applications are made as a part of the art registration process. You will be expected to register your art with Engulf. This can be done on the art registration page here. Engulf has a list of art guidelines on the art page.
The deadline for submitting this Letter of Intent (LOI) for an art grant for the Engulf burn is October 1st, 2023.
Receiving an art grant from Engulf does NOT disqualify you from obtaining grants and other forms of income for this project from other sources.
