There’s no better morning ritual than starting the day with a hot cup of coffee and some good tunes. Whether that day starts at 5am or 5pm we have something for everyone, night owl or early bird, to get you energized for the day (or night) ahead. Get buzzed Friday at sunset, Saturday at sunrise and sunset, and Sunday at sunrise.

Camp Couyon is where your cool cousin hangs out. We’ve mastered the chill parlor vibe. Members of the Engulf Community since 2016. A place to visit for homemade cake, cookies, cocktails, wine, dominoes ( the game ), mischief, inspired tastings *, rest, laughs and grins … and Charging Station

All about indigo! We’re going to be dyeing with natural indigo dye and invite you to come along to play and go home with a bandana you make yourself. We love crafty time at Camp Indigo, bring a project along and hang out under the blue tent!

Spin the wheel of clamps, Get Clamped, Get a Plant

Camp Plant & Clamps combines interest in kink and plants. The concept is you spin the wheel of clamps, get clamped, and for your masochistic efforts you will get the gift of a plant or plant cutting. The wheel of clamps will have different types of clamps (alligator, butterfly, clothespins, and more). Whichever clamp you land on you must use, and then you will be clamped by the Clamp Mistress to receive your plant reward, then our plant concierge can help you pick out the perfect plant and give you tips on aftercare so it will grow and thrive

A place to rest, slumber or stare at the ceiling projections and listen to some chill music

YOUR SPACE IS HERE! Cosmic Creatures is an open, inclusive, fun loving group rooted in Texas (with friends from all over the galaxy) that is bringing good times and amazing music to Engulf!

Our camp goal is to have a safe space to be yourself, welcoming playful and creative souls from all walks of life. We are socially inclusive and value authenticity, respect, consent, and love for all. Show us your cosmic energy on the dance floor at our club tent and stage featuring the Cosmic Creatures resident DJs playing from early afternoon until you can't dance anymore! Our large tent provides shade and rain protection for visitors to enjoy our custom LED artwork and stage fixtures, lasers, projectors, and more. We host several themed parties and mixers for different tastes and vibes. You are also invited to grab a drink at our bar, and enjoy (or join!) intimate live music performances, open mic events, karaoke, live painting, and more scheduled regularly throughout the burn. Also, be sure to come and take a dip in our 16-person hot tub! So stop by, relax, and let your inner cosmic creature shine!

Plastic Fronds, Lifetime Bonds

Come make some new friends in our "polite" "society" - renowned for being one of the most lushly litigious at Flipside! Come for floral yurt cuddles, puns, games, dance parties and our WORLD FAMOUS Cordial Cocktail night on Thursday evening! The real settlement is the fronds you made along the way.

A decadent oasis for all manner of weary travelers and strange creatures

Relax and unwind in Engulf's plant district! Come lounge amid our pillows and blankets, indulge in a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or hot tea and enjoy the company of your fellow wanderers.

Those crazy SCUBA divers

A group of burning SCUBA divers and friends. Come have an omelet (-in-a-bag) for breakfast, join us for afternoon cocktails, or come sit and socialize anytime. We'll also be casting some pewter medallions from time to time.

ELYSIUM was born out of a desire for service. Service to our surroundings. Service to ourselves. Service to everyone who gifts us with their being. Through realms of antiquity and civilizations long forgotten, the lore of our ancestors carried song and story expressing kinship and goodwill between fellow passengers on the rivers of existence. We and all in Elysium become one in spirit and celebration. All are welcome to our home and hearth. In Greek mythology, ELYSIUM, represents the paradise in afterlife and was also known as The Elysian Fields. At Engulf, ELYSIUM will be a service industry oasis and bartender showcase, dedicated to serving up libations and good times for all. In our city of New Orleans, it pays homage in naming a major thoroughfare as it’s namesake, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, in Paris, France representing unison in soul of the cities. At Engulf, ELYSIUM represents a place where all are welcomed in the name of relaxation and expression whether it’s lounging, dancing or enjoying one of our crafted libations. You will feel like the mythological beauty you are when you step through the entrance being greeted with a warm and welcoming environment; carefully curated by some of your greatest friends on Earth.

This ain’t yo granny’s Tasty Freeze!

Welcome to Johnny Cougar’s Melon Camp! An MTV era, retro-stylized, watermelon-themed sound camp with state of the art sound, tasty cocktails and a beautiful space to get down on the dance floor or to lounge with friends, old and new and take in the good vibes and freely flying freak flags of our beautiful community! Long before being out and open and freely being oneself was accepted in mainstream media, 80’s icons were flaunting their open, true-to-self and so-called flamboyant lifestyles through the airwaves of FM radio and on the screens of MTV. Johnny Cougar’s Melon Camp celebrates the bold who were the voice of so many from the GEN-X era, and the icons that adorned their bedroom walls! We plan on serving up lots of tasty melon, and other fruit-themed cocktails throughout the week, including breakfast fruit bowls, smoothies, cocktails and slushies, along with daily themed happy hours for our friends and family throughout the burn. As well, we will build a camp with artwork that reflects the playfulness of our theme and will have campers and participants traveling from New Orleans as well as Atlanta, all folks that are part of the burner community and live their lives with the 11 principles of the burn (including the most recently adopted, consent) close to their hearts. At the heart of our camp will be our, newly constructed, art car, ROCK THE DISCO SOUNDSYSTEM. It is a 20’ airstream built out to be a DJ stage, with a custom PK sound system. Built specifically for burns, this will be the centerpiece for our camp with tented areas on the sides to create shade and soft spaces for our community to gather in and relax, as well as a dance area in the middle for those who want to let their spirits soar! Our planned happy hours (6-8pm, friday and saturday) will feed the theme of 80’s dance music while our late nights will explore the underground dance movement that came out of it, with djs from New Orleans, Atlanta and elsewhere playing music for the soul, including disco, house, techno and more. We also would like to offer up space to play for new friends we make throughout the weekend. We would like to have camping space behind our area for those that are traveling here and camping together. We are also happy to offer up our sound system to be used by the organizers for any needs they may have, should we be placed near the effigy or temple, for those ceremonies as well. Our soundsystem is your soundsystem. We look forward to creating a space for all to enjoy, and an area to make lots of new friends and family, all in a camp that is fun, respectful and decadent! PRK celebrates punk rock roots through music, booze, friendship, and rowdy fun. Punk rock shakes hands with kindergarten as we gain the tools and space to build and strengthen our friendships. Make a name tag, grab a juice box, sculpt with playdough, play a game, and this year - we’re adding a nap space!

Scrimpin' ain't easy

A fun troupe of degenerates from the deep waters of Louisiana have emerged to join the Cyborg Circus in the homeland of Britney Spears. Bringing their ultimate gift - music. We will be cooking up a pot of musical gumbo all weekend long and serving scrimp lagniappe to tease your tastebuds. Come and get scrimpy with us!

Stop in and play, express yourself, and capture a memory at the Sideways Playhouse, where there's something fun for everyone.

The Sideways Playhouse provides a place to stop in and play. Radically express yourself by drawing or writing on white canopy walls, capture a new look or memory in our photo booth and play a game with friends. All are welcome to play at their leisure.

Squirt Squirt is the camp that hits the sweet spot. Come to our dome sweet dome if you want a Squirt to wet your lips, energize you, or get you soaked!

A Moist Renaissance

Revolution: a sudden, radical, complete change. In the ironclad footsteps of the Industrial Revolution, Steam Sleazy invites you to experience a steam-powered awakening of mind, body, and spirit. Let the warmth and fragrance of the steam bath rejuvenate you inside and out, soak in the sounds and lights of the forest from an oasis of hammocks tucked among the foliage, and enjoy a curated playlist of music and natural ambiance emanating from the trees. Let your imagination take shape with paint and brushes to share your art on the canvas walls of the steamy shelter, explore the Sleazy Clothing Swap, or enjoy a drink and a snack with us at the Sleazy Cantina, where you can partake in a delightful and savory folded chicken sandwich for lunch on Friday. Put it in my mouth!

Come take a walk on the Vibe Side.

The Vibe Tribe is the place to come for a cuddle puddle in our Stuffy Dome, or for a snack in our Tea Party space. We will also have lasers in the trees with comfy cushions to sit and watch. A space to participate in touch therapy with a friend and a fun art exhibit too.

Is Engulf proving to be a little more than you bargained for? Too late to get your ticket refunded? Maybe the ghost of Larry Harvey came to you in a port-o-let and told you that your life needed more FIRE. Firewater, that is, with no charge for the pickle juice. And if that doesn't do it, try a fire enema. Maybe you want to spend some time on a St. Andrew's cross letting someone else drive the bus (we're bringing it back this year). What's that...you don't like grits? You've been struggling with veganism? We can help. Finally- our camp name- just know that we love, honor, and respect one as much as the other. Your colorful, welcoming home for the best dance music from disco to EDM.

The Yayborhood came out at Engulf years ago, originally as the Gay Ghetto, and then transitioning to a camp where everyone is welcome when you need a dose of happiness. Come grab a tasty drink, lounge on our cuddle platform, chat at our bistro tables, and of course dance until we kick you out. If you'd rather be alone and grumpy, we'll have a nail station where you can sit and paint your nails until you feel better.
